레 홍 린(Lê Hồng Linh)은 베트남 현대 사진 예술계를 상징하는 거장이자 국제적으로 가장 널리 인정받는 사진가 중 한 명이다. 1990년부터 사진 예술에 입문한 그는 베트남사진예술가협회(VAPA) 예술위원회 위원장, 호치민사진협회(HOPA) 회원 등을 역임하며 자국 사진 예술 발전에 크게 기여했다. 특히 미국사진협회(PSA)의 ‘Who’s Who’ 흑백 프린트 부문에서 베트남 사진가 최초로 세계 1위에 오른 것을 비롯해, 국제사진예술연맹(FIAP)의 최고 영예인 ‘Master Distinction(MFIAP)’을 획득하며 독보적인 예술성을 입증했다. 전 세계 40여 개국에서 662개가 넘는 국제상을 수상하고 베트남 최다 수상 사진가로 기록된 그는 프랑스, 미국 등 세계 각국의 유명 미술관과 갤러리에 작품이 소장되는 영예를 안았다. 그의 작업은 대상에 대한 깊은 공감과 연민을 바탕으로, 단순한 시각적 기록을 넘어 인간 정신의 숭고함을 흑백의 미학으로 승화시킨다는 평가를 받는다.

English Lê Hồng Linh is a master of contemporary Vietnamese photography and one of the country's most internationally acclaimed photographic artists. Active in the art world since 1990, he has played a pivotal role in advancing the medium, serving as the Chairman of the Art Council of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA). He achieved historic milestones, becoming the first Vietnamese photographer ranked Number One in the Photographic Society of America’s (PSA) “Who’s Who” for the Monochrome Prints category, and was awarded the coveted Master Distinction (MFIAP) by the International Federation of Photographic Art.
